Toxic Green Ancopora Coral Frag

The Toxic Green Ancopora is a striking SPS coral prized for its intense neon-green colouration and elegant branching growth. With fine, delicate branches and excellent polyp extension, this coral adds both movement and high-impact colour to reef aquariums—especially under blue or actinic lighting where its fluorescence truly stands out.

Often compared to Acropora in appearance but generally more forgiving, Toxic Green Ancopora is a fantastic choice for reef keepers looking to add vibrant branching SPS without stepping into ultra-delicate species.

Ancopora corals originate from the Indo-Pacific region, with populations found across:

The Great Barrier Reef, Australia

Central Pacific reef systems

In the wild, Ancopora species inhabit shallow reef slopes and upper reef zones, where they are exposed to strong sunlight and consistent water movement. These conditions explain their preference for bright lighting and good flow in aquariums.

Ancopora corals have long been appreciated in the reef-keeping hobby for their Acropora-like branching structure combined with slightly greater tolerance to fluctuations. As LED lighting became more prevalent, brightly coloured varieties such as the Toxic Green Ancopora gained popularity for their intense fluorescence and clean, modern reef aesthetic.

Today, Toxic Green Ancopora is valued as a visually striking SPS coral that bridges the gap between Montipora and Acropora in both appearance and care level.
