Hammer Corals

Hammer Corals (Fimbriaphyllia ancora and Fimbriaphyllia paraancora) are among the most elegant LPS corals in reef keeping. Instantly recognised by their distinctive hammer or anchor-shaped tentacles, they create a graceful, flowing display that adds movement, structure and balance to any marine aquarium. Their gentle swaying motion and striking fluorescent colours make them a favourite for both mixed reefs and dedicated LPS displays.

From vibrant Toxic Green and Aqua Green varieties to spectacular Gold, Rose, Hologram and High Marble morphs, every Hammer Coral brings its own unique beauty to the reef. As healthy colonies mature, they develop into impressive branching displays that add natural depth and harmony throughout the aquascape. Their flowing movement beautifully complements Torch and Frogspawn Corals, helping create the layered, organic appearance of a thriving coral reef.

At ReefGro, every Hammer Coral is sustainably aquacultured in the UK, professionally fragged, fully healed and carefully pest inspected before being offered for sale. By supplying healthy, established coral frags, we help reef keepers confidently grow vibrant Hammer Coral colonies that continue to branch, flourish and become lasting features within their reef aquarium.
